Code of Ethics

At Integrated Rehabilitation Center, everything we do is done at the highest ethical standard and professionalism. For the best interest of the clients, employees, and betterment of the company, we hold all employees and associates to the following ethical code:

Discrimination and harassment will not be tolerated at IRC. We welcome people of all backgrounds and identities. This includes, but is not limited to, any members of sexual orientation, gender identity and expression, race, ethnicity, culture, social and economic class, educational level, immigration status, sex, age, political belief, religion, and mental and physical ability.

IRC is a drug-free workplace. Any possession, use, distribution, or business regarding substances of abuse is prohibited. Staff may not use tobacco products, or be under the influence of illegal drugs, alcohol, or substances of abuse on company property, while working, or at affiliate campuses. All IRC employees may be subject to drug testing per company policy.

Employees of IRC must demonstrate respect and professionalism on social media. Social media postings containing dishonorable material such as sexual content, racial and religious discrimination, disability insults, as well as content related to sensitive company information, will not be allowed from any employee. If it is inappropriate for a parent of a patient to see, do not post it. Any pictures, videos, or media containing clients or client information is strictly prohibited.

Professionalism is expected by all IRC employees. This includes dressing appropriately for work, being prompt and on time, working effectively, and following through on commitments. With over 20 years of experience, we are known for our fantastic team, and we are excited for you to become part of that team.

The Code of Ethics Commitment

“I will strive to work diligently and to the highest ethical standard. For the best interest of the patients at Integrated Rehabilitation Center, I will be inclusive, professional, and adhere to the code of ethics addressed above.”

All employees have signed in agreement of abiding and upholding the ethical standards as listed above.

Code of Ethics for ABA Professionals

At Integrated Rehabilitation Center, in addition to our standard Code of Ethics, Applied Behavior Analysis professionals, including Registered Behavior Technicians and Board Certified Behavior Analysts, are held to an additional standard of professionalism. The following standards are from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board ®:

Responsible use of scientific knowledge. Must rely on scientific knowledge when making professional judgements in human services, provide services only within the boundaries of their knowledge, and must maintain this competence through professional development. Development includes reading appropriate literature, attending conferences, participating in workshops, obtaining coursework, and maintaining appropriate credentials. We expect all IRC ABA employees to be up to date with the science of ABA to provide the best treatment for our patients.

Professional and scientific relationships. Analysts will provide services only in the context of a defined, professional, or scientific relationship or role. Analysts do not engage in discrimination or harassment of any kind. Due to the potentially harmful effects of multiple relationships, analysts avoid multiple relationships. Analysts do not accept any gifts from or give any gifts to clients because this constitutes a multiple relationship. Analysts do not engage in sexual relationships with clients, students, or supervisees, because such relationships easily impair judgement or become exploitative.

Responsibility to clients.
Behavior analysts have a primary obligation to take reasonable precautions to protect the confidentiality of those with whom they work or consult. Analysts must not share or create situations likely to result in the sharing of any identifying information about current clients and supervisees within social media contexts. Analysts are expected to maintain accurate and organized records and maintain appropriate confidentiality in creating, storing, accessing, transferring, and disposing of such records.

The Professional and Ethical Compliance Code from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board ® is available at https://www.bacb.com/ethics/ethics-code/. All IRC ABA personnel are expected to follow this code to its entirety.

All ABA employees have signed in agreement of abiding and upholding the ethical standards as listed above.
